Calomela curtisi
Acacia Leaf Beetle

Conservation status: Least Concern

This species of beetle has been found in southern Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and south-western Western Australia. There is quite a colour variation throughout the species regarding the amount of red/orange on the wing covers (elytra). Some individuals are completely dark metallic. Both adult and larvae Calomela curtisi normally feed on wattle leaves – thus its common name.
