This cicada looks as if it is missing its abdomen. It may have been a meal for a bird.

Silver Knight, Black Prince

Conservation status: Least Concern

This species has two colour forms. The one above is the green form and it is known as a Silver Knight. The dark form - which may be black, dark brown or grey - is known as a Black Prince. The green form was previously known only from coastal areas
