Platagarista macleayi

Conservation status: Least Concern

This species of moth is found in Eastern Australia. Adult moths are black with a diagonal white bar across each wing. The abdomen is black with white bands and there is a yellow tuft of hairs on the tip. These moths are also known as "Day Moths" as, unusual for moths, they fly during the daytime.
