Chapter 5 - Nature's Extremities


Girraween is a place of extremes - huge expanses of harsh, exposed rock juxtaposed against clusters of tiny delicate ferns or brightly-coloured wildflowers. It is such contrasts that make Girraween both a haven for nature and a haven for people wanting to appreciate nature.
