Ramaria sp.


Conservation status: Not listed.

This pretty little coral fungus was originally identified as Ramaria capitata var. ochraceosalmonicolor which has similar colouring, but it has since been re-examined and is thought to be a new species that is yet to be formally described and named.

Its fairly crowded branches are apricot in colour with rounded, yellow tips. The stem is white and stout and has aborted branches on the side.

It has been found in various locations across Queensland at different times of the year.
