One of the native species of Solanum known to be in Girraween, the Spiny Kangaroo Apple is aptly named. The plant is very "spiny" and the fruit do look like tiny green apples. Solanum amblymerum can be easily distinguished from other similar species by the shape of its leaf - which is quite long and narrow and lobeless.
