Cordulephya pygmaea
Common Shutwing

Conservation status: Least Concern


This is one of the few species of dragonfly that rests with its wings closed. This unusual behaviour gives rise to its common name of Shutwing.

It has been found in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
