Conservation status: Least Concern

This species is very widespread and has been found in every state and territory of Australia .

It is a fairly small to medium-sized damselfly with a wingspan of up to 45 mm.

Males have a black and blue head and thorax, with black and blue markings along the olive-brown abdomen. The tip of the abdomen is black and blue. Females are an all-over olive-brown and green with black markings.
