Synlestes weyersii

Conservation status: Least Concern


This species has only been found in southern Queensland. It has also been found in New South Wales and Victoria.

There are three recognised subspecies. Synlestes weyersii tillyardi is the most widespread and is the most likely subspecies to be found in Girraween. Synlestes weyersii weyersii has only been found in Victoria and Synlestes weyersii nigrescens has been found mostly in the Sydney region of New South Wales. The three subspecies are distinguishable by the size and shape of some coloured stripes on the sides of the thorax.
