Myriapods

Centipedes
The body of a centipede may consist of 15 or more segments. Most of these segments have a single pair of legs. The first pair of legs, the maxillipeds, end in sharp claws and have poison glands. Centipedes are carnivores and their poison can be quite dangerous to humans.

Millipedes
Despite their name, millipedes do not have 1,000 legs, although one rare species has up to 750. Most millipedes eat rotting plant matter and prefer a moist environment. In dry areas, they shelter under logs and rocks.
